My first allegiance is to the People of Women and the dismantling of patriarchal power structure. From there, the institutions of racism, carnism, capitalism, and religious zealotry will fall. There can be no progress in this world without the elevation of women, all women, in all aspects of life: political, religious, societal, and cultural.

DEFINITION: misandry
A term created by a group of straight white men who habitually confuse their "brain" with their anus. These men's rumination are usually too moronic for anyone without brain damage. They use this word to refer to what they perceive as "hatred of men" by the government, the media, and society at large. What these white men conveniently ignore is the fact that the government, the media, society, and any system of representation is run by white men for white men and used to marginalize women and minorities. These white men keep on complaining about "misandry" despite the fact that:
- according to the most extensive studies by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (2003), US Department of Labour, International Labour Organisation, the United Nations, the World Bank, the European Commission, the UK Equalities Office (2010), the OECD, and various sovereign governments, universities and NGOs, women earn significantly less than men EVEN WHEN ADJUSTED for differences in work experience, education, occupation, parental and marital status, hours worked, tenure, etc.;
- women are the primary targets of gender violence and men are the primary perpetrators of gender violence (e.g., U.S. Bureau of Statistics 1999, 2004), CDC (2000) WHO, UN, tribunal statistics worldwide, etc;
- men dominate all spheres of power from the military, government, economic, social (slut shaming, dual burdens, attacks on women's capabilities and other sexist gender roles, etc), religious and reproductive rights (in most countries and states of the world).
- white men have a disproportionately large share of power although women outperform men in school and college in all OECD countries (e.g., PISA 2001);
- white men disproportionately control all systems of representation (religions, movies, songs etc.) and constantly depict the world and women and minorities from their point of view.
- 99% of the definitions of gender sensitive subjects on this site are something violent towards and degrading of women and women's bodies.
How about you take it easy straight white men? Your white, male and heterosexual privilege isn't going anywhere, so RELAX.

ScienceDaily (Oct. 4, 2011) — Recent debate about whether acts of "benevolent sexism" harm women are addressed in a new commentary published in Psychology of Women Quarterly (published by SAGE on behalf of the Society for the Psychology of Women, Division 35 of the American Psychological Association). "The truth about sexism seems stranger than fiction," wrote authors Peter Glick and Susan T. Fiske, about their investigations into the nature of sexism. Sexist attitudes are not exclusively hostile, but include an "odd…conjunction of what at first seemed inherently incompatible: subjective affection as a form of prejudice," which they labeled "benevolent sexism." Glick and Fiske have shown the negative consequences of attitudes that idealize women as pure, moral, pedestal-worthy objects of men's adoration, protection, and provision. People who endorse benevolent sexism feel positively toward women, but only when women conform to highly traditional ideals about "how women should be." Benevolent sexism motivates chivalrous acts that many women may welcome, such as a man's offer to lift heavy boxes or install the new computer. While the path to benevolent sexism may be paved with good intentions, it reinforces the assumption that men possess greater competence than women, whom benevolent sexists view as wonderful, but weak and fragile. The authors developed the Ambivalent Sexism Inventory (ASI), which measures both Hostile Sexism and Benevolent Sexism, nearly 20 years ago. Since its inception, thousands of people in dozens of countries have taken the ASI. Cross-national comparisons show that hostile and benevolent sexism go hand-in-hand (that is, nations that endorse hostile sexism also endorse benevolent sexism). The beliefs work together because benevolent sexism "rewards" women when they fulfill traditional roles whereas hostile sexism punishes women who do not toe the line, thereby working together to maintain traditional relations. In other words, act sweet and they'll pat you on the head; assert yourself and they'll put you in your place. Numerous studies by various researchers document benevolent sexism's insidious effects. For example, when led to expect benevolently sexist help in a masculine workplace, women became unsure of themselves, got distracted, and consequently performed poorly.
